Prior to founding Industrial EGO Sales as a sales coach, Shamus Brown sold for Vantive in Silicon Valley, a $120M leader in sales force automation and customer support business solutions, where he was a leading Senior Account Manager. Before joining Vantive, Shamus worked for four software startups such as Platinum Software where he opened to rapid profitability two west coast sales offices. Shamus also has held sales positions at IBM and Dunn & Bradstreet Software.
Born and raised in Northern California, Shamus Brown's career has focused on business-to-business technology sales. Throughout his career, Shamus has made a real-world study of sales and emotional persuasion - excellent preparation to be a sales coach. Shamus has been formally trained in the Sandler Sales System, Solution Selling, Strategic Selling, and Powerbase Selling sales methodologies. Shamus also holds a Master Practitioner Certification in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). Shamus earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley in 1987.
In taking time off from being a sales coach, Shamus enjoys trail running, mountain biking, downhill skiing, camping, and not taking anything too seriously. Shamus currently lives in San Diego, California with his family.
